# Konecto Konecto is an events platform built first for small and mid-size trade shows and conferences (up to about 1,000 attendees): tickets, event pages, door check-in, a customisable public Konecto profile for every attendee, booth scanning, gamified challenges and exhibitor reports. Organisers run it in the Konecto organiser app, or ask Claude or ChatGPT to run it through the Konecto MCP connector. Konecto has no AI of its own. Organisers use the Konecto organiser app, or an AI assistant they already use (Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client) operates Konecto through the Konecto MCP server. ## Surfaces - Event page (konec.to/e/): Branded public page with tickets, built from templates. - Organiser app (app.konec.to): Where organisers create and run events. - Attendee app (me.konec.to): Tickets, contact card, connections, chats and communities. - MCP connector (mcp.konec.to): Lets Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients operate Konecto. - API (api.konec.to): Public and Admin API for custom sites and integrations. ## Free core - Events and agenda - Tickets and registration - Konecto checkout - QR ticket email - Door check-in on any phone - Event page - Attendee app and public Konecto profile - People-to-meet suggestions - Unlimited team members, roles and per-event access - API and MCP connector ## Add-on modules (priced per event) - Challenges (£149 per event): Gamification for trade shows and conferences: organisers build challenges from actions (booth scans, exhibitor connections, sessions, surveys) and choose the reward, from prize draws to VIP perks. - Analytics (£49 per event): Sales over time, traffic sources, conversion from page view to purchase, check-in rate, attendee engagement and sponsor engagement dashboards. - Kanban (£29 per event): A task board for each event with owners, due dates, reusable templates, staff shifts and a runsheet for the day. - Finance (£39 per event): Planned against actual costs by category, ticket revenue added automatically after fees, a live P&L, break-even and cost per attendee. - Sponsors (£79 per event): Sponsor tiers, deliverables, sponsor pages in the attendee app and post-event sponsor reports. - Lead capture (£49 per booth, per event): Sponsor staff scan attendee cards, add notes and ratings, and export consented leads to their CRM from a sponsor portal. - Communications (£39 per event): Email campaigns, reminders and segments for attendees, with scheduling. - Pro site (£29 per event): Put your Konecto event page on your own domain, buy a domain from inside Konecto, and keep full version history. - Wrap-up (£39 per event): Post-event surveys, an event report and sponsor reports, ready the day after. - All modules for one event: £349 - Organisation-wide plans (one overview across all your events, shared dashboards, volume pricing) are arranged with our team. ## Pricing - Free and registration-only events: free. - Paid tickets: one per-ticket fee, set below the major marketplaces, published at launch. Stripe charges its standard card processing rate. - Modules: priced per event (see above), for events up to 1,000 attendees. Konecto focuses on small and mid-size events (up to about 1,000 attendees). Organisation-wide plans across all events: contact the team. - Payments run on Stripe Connect; ticket money is paid to the organiser's own Stripe account. ## Websites - Every event gets a Konecto event page at konec.to/e/, built from 3 to 5 templates with organiser branding. No raw HTML editing. - With the Pro site module the same page can run on a custom domain; the Konecto URL then redirects (301) to it. - Fully custom sites can be built anywhere on the Public API, SDK and drop-in components. Checkout, attendee tickets and the attendee network always stay on Konecto. ## Attendee app (me.konec.to) - Ticket wallet first: attendees buy without an account and open tickets from the email via a magic link. - Every attendee gets a public Konecto profile (me.konec.to/) with a personal QR, created from their registration. They customise it (photo, cover, colour, role, company, bio, links, interests, "looking for") and choose per field what is public, visible to fellow attendees, or shared only on connect. - Exhibitors scan attendee profiles at booths; scans and connections count towards Challenges. - People to meet: attendees choose interests and who they would like to meet (roles, industries, looking for). Konecto suggests opted-in attendees and exhibitors with shared interests, close matches on related topics, or complementary needs, and shows the reason for each. Not AI matchmaking. Contact details are shared only when both accept. - Connections and one-to-one chats belong to the two people and last after the event. - Organisation communities: attendees who join an organiser's community see its events and members. ## Challenges (gamification) Organisers build challenges from actions (booth scans, exhibitor connections by number or percentage, attendee connections, sessions, sponsor visits, offers, surveys, early check-in, profile completion), set targets and a time window, and choose the reward (prize draw, instant reward, points and levels, badges, leaderboard, discount codes, VIP access, donations). Fair play: one scan per booth per person, staff-verified scans, cooldowns, caps and an audit trail. ## Check-in Browser scanner on any phone. Online, every scan is checked with the server, so a ticket gets in once across all devices. Offline, each phone scans from its downloaded guest list, rejects its own repeats and syncs on reconnect; a ticket scanned on two offline phones is flagged for the organiser. ## Status Private beta. Organisers are onboarded personally. Contact: hello@konec.to. ## FAQ ### Is Konecto good for trade shows? It is built for them: attendee profiles, booth scanning, challenges that spread traffic across the floor, and a report for every exhibitor. ### Do team members cost extra? No. Every organisation member is free, with roles and per-event access. You only pay for modules on the events that use them. ### What does Konecto cost? Free events are free. Paid tickets carry one per-ticket fee, set below the major marketplaces. Add-on modules are optional and priced per event, from £29. Organisation-wide plans are arranged with our team. ### Do I need AI to use Konecto? No. The Konecto organiser app does everything. Connecting Claude or ChatGPT is a second way in, not a requirement. ### Do attendees need an account or an app? No. Attendees buy without an account and open their ticket from the email. The attendee app is a web app at me.konec.to. ### Who owns the attendee data? You do. The organiser is the data controller and Konecto the processor. ### Does check-in work offline? Yes. Each phone keeps scanning from its downloaded guest list and syncs when it reconnects. Tickets scanned on two offline phones are flagged on sync; while online, a ticket can only get in once. ### Can I move from Eventbrite? Yes. Recreate your event in minutes, or ask your AI to, and import attendees from CSV. ### Can I use my own website? Yes. Use the Konecto event page, put it on your own domain, or build a fully custom site on the Konecto API. ### When can I start? Konecto is in private beta with a small group of organisers. Tell us about your next event and we will set you up. --- # Problems Konecto solves ## Side events that feel as good as the main stage. Audience: Trade shows. Problem: "The VIP dinner still runs on a spreadsheet." Konecto runs the smaller events around a trade show or conference: VIP dinners, sponsor receptions, speaker drinks and after-parties. Organisers create an invite-only page with a hidden ticket link, manage the guest list and plus-ones, and check guests in with any phone. It works alongside whatever platform runs the main event. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/vip-and-side-events.md ## Lead retrieval on any phone. Audience: Trade shows. Problem: "Our exhibitors rent scanners that nobody uses." Konecto Lead capture is a lead retrieval tool for trade show exhibitors. Staff scan a visitor's Konecto profile QR from their own phone browser, the visitor confirms sharing their details, and the lead is saved with notes, a rating and consent. Exhibitors export leads to their CRM and see booth visits in a sponsor portal. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/lead-retrieval-app.md ## Meet the people you came for. Audience: Attendees. Problem: "I spent the day talking to the wrong people." Konecto suggests people to meet at an event based on what each attendee chooses: their interests and who they would like to meet (roles, industries, what they are looking for). Suggestions include exact matches, close matches on related topics, and complementary needs, each with a plain reason such as "You both listed supply chain". Contact details are shared only when both people accept. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/people-to-meet.md ## Trade shows where every booth gets visited. Audience: Trade shows. Problem: "Exhibitors asked where the traffic was." Konecto is built for trade shows and exhibitions: attendees register and get a Konecto profile they can customise, exhibitors scan attendee profiles at their booths, organisers run challenges such as "scan every booth to enter the prize draw", and every exhibitor gets a report of visits and consented leads. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/trade-show-software.md ## Scan every booth. Win something. Audience: Trade shows. Problem: "Half the booths never got a visitor." The Konecto Challenges module lets organisers gamify trade shows and conferences. Challenges combine actions such as scanning booths, connecting with a percentage of exhibitors or attendees, attending sessions, visiting sponsor pages or completing surveys. Organisers choose targets and rewards, and attendees track progress on their Konecto profile. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/event-gamification.md ## Every attendee gets a Konecto profile. Audience: Attendees. Problem: "Nobody knew who anyone was." Every Konecto attendee gets a Konecto profile at me.konec.to/ with a personal QR code. Attendees customise it with a photo, cover, role, company, bio, links, interests and what they are looking for, and choose which fields are public. Exhibitors and other attendees scan it to connect, and it carries over to every Konecto event. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/attendee-profiles.md ## The Eventbrite alternative that keeps fees low. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "Fees ate our margin." Konecto is a ticketing and event platform for organisers who want lower fees. Free events cost nothing. Paid tickets carry a single per-ticket fee, set below the major marketplaces, and payouts go directly to the organiser through Stripe. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/eventbrite-alternative.md ## Create your event by asking Claude or ChatGPT. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "Setup took a week." Konecto has an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask your AI to create an event, add ticket types, set up the event page and publish it. Everything the AI creates appears in the Konecto organiser app, and anything that moves money needs your confirmation. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/create-event-with-ai.md ## Every event gets a page. Automatically. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "We had no time for a website." Every Konecto event gets a branded event page at konec.to/e/your-event, built from templates. Organisers set the colours, fonts, images and sections, with ticketing built in. The page can move to a custom domain on the Pro site module, and developers can build fully custom sites on the Konecto API. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/event-website-builder.md ## Event check-in without the queue. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "The door queue went round the block." Konecto check-in turns any phone into a QR ticket scanner in the browser. Several staff can scan at once. While online, every scan is checked against the server, so a ticket used on one phone is rejected on all the others. Offline, each phone keeps scanning from its downloaded guest list, rejects tickets it has already scanned, and syncs when it reconnects; any ticket scanned on two offline phones is flagged for the organiser. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/event-check-in.md ## Get your attendees talking. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "Nobody talked to each other." Konecto includes a free attendee app. Attendees who opt in get a Konecto contact card with a personal QR code. Scanning each other connects them, they can chat, and the connection stays after the event, across every Konecto event they attend. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/event-networking-app.md ## Show sponsors exactly what they got. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "Sponsors asked what they got." Konecto records every interaction between attendees and sponsors: sponsor page views, link clicks, chats, booth scans and redeemed offers. The Analytics and Sponsors modules turn this into per-sponsor dashboards and reports, with contact details shared only when attendees consent. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/sponsor-analytics.md ## Know if the event made money, before it ends. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "We didn't know if we made money." The Konecto Finance module gives each event a budget by category, planned against actual costs, with ticket revenue added automatically after fees. Organisers see a live profit and loss, the break-even ticket count and cost per attendee. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/event-budget-and-finance.md ## Every task for the event, on one board. Audience: Organisers and teams. Problem: "Planning lived in twelve chats." The Konecto Kanban module gives each event a task board with owners, due dates and reusable templates, plus a runsheet for the day, alongside the event's tickets, attendees and finance. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/event-planning-board.md ## Know what sold the ticket. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "We couldn't tell what sold tickets." The Konecto Analytics module shows ticket sales over time, where buyers came from, conversion from page view to purchase, check-in rates and attendee engagement for each event. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/event-analytics.md ## Attendee data, handled properly. Audience: Organisers. Problem: "We worried about attendee data." Konecto is built for GDPR: the organiser is the data controller and Konecto the processor, registration includes a configurable consent field, attendees can export and delete their data, and deleting an event purges its attendee data within 30 days. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/gdpr-events.md ## Meet once. Stay connected. Audience: Attendees. Problem: "We met, then lost each other." A Konecto card is a free digital contact card with a personal QR code. Attendees of Konecto events use it to connect by scanning, chat, and keep their connections after the event, across every organiser. It lives at me.konec.to with their tickets. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/contact-card.md ## Leads that reach your CRM. Audience: Sponsors. Problem: "Our booth leads were on paper." Konecto Lead capture lets sponsor staff scan attendee Konecto cards at the booth, add notes and ratings, and export leads to their CRM. Contact details are shared only with attendee consent, and sponsors get a portal with their own engagement numbers. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/for-sponsors.md ## Built for people who run a lot of events. Audience: Venues and series. Problem: "We set up the same event every week." Konecto supports organisations that run many events: reusable event and task templates, free unlimited team members who see every organisation event (or only the events you allow), organisation-wide plans arranged with our team, and an organisation community that attendees join so they come back. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/for-venues.md ## Build any site. Konecto is the backend. Audience: Agencies and developers. Problem: "Our client wanted a custom site." Konecto is a headless events backend. Developers build fully custom event sites anywhere and use the Konecto Public API, TypeScript SDK and drop-in components for event data, ticket availability and checkout, with signed webhooks for orders and check-ins. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/developers.md ## Connect your AI. Run your event. Audience: AI users. Problem: "I want my AI to actually do it." Konecto offers a remote MCP server so AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can operate Konecto for an organiser: create events and tickets, configure and publish the event page, manage attendees, tasks and finance, and read analytics. Sign-in uses OAuth, and actions that move money require the organiser's confirmation. More: https://llm.konec.to/problems/mcp.md --- # Side events that feel as good as the main stage. Audience: Trade shows Problem: "The VIP dinner still runs on a spreadsheet." Page: https://konec.to/vip-and-side-events Konecto runs the smaller events around a trade show or conference: VIP dinners, sponsor receptions, speaker drinks and after-parties. Organisers create an invite-only page with a hidden ticket link, manage the guest list and plus-ones, and check guests in with any phone. It works alongside whatever platform runs the main event. ## Why it happens - Side events are planned last, in a spreadsheet and an email thread. - Invite-only guest lists leak, and the door has no reliable list. - The main event platform is too heavy for a 60-person dinner. ## How Konecto fixes it Create the event, add a hidden ticket that only people with the link can claim, invite guests by email or share the private link with sponsors, and scan QR codes at the door. Guests get their ticket in me.konec.to with the rest of their event. ## Steps 1. Create it: Name, venue, time and an invite-only ticket, in the app or by asking your AI. 2. Invite: Send private links to sponsors, speakers and VIPs; cap plus-ones. 3. Welcome them: QR check-in on any phone, with a live guest count. ## FAQ ### Does it work if our main event uses another platform? Yes. Side events run on Konecto on their own; you do not need to move the main event. ### Can I keep the page private? Yes. Hidden tickets are only reachable with the private link, and the page can be unlisted from search. ### Is it free? Free events are free. Add Communications if you want scheduled invitations and reminders. ### Can sponsors invite their own guests? Yes. Give each sponsor their own private link with a guest cap. --- # Lead retrieval on any phone. Audience: Trade shows Problem: "Our exhibitors rent scanners that nobody uses." Page: https://konec.to/lead-retrieval-app Konecto Lead capture is a lead retrieval tool for trade show exhibitors. Staff scan a visitor's Konecto profile QR from their own phone browser, the visitor confirms sharing their details, and the lead is saved with notes, a rating and consent. Exhibitors export leads to their CRM and see booth visits in a sponsor portal. ## Why it happens - Rented scanners cost money per device and arrive the morning of the show. - Separate lead apps need their own log-ins and rarely match the badge data. - Leads without consent or notes are hard to follow up. ## How Konecto fixes it Every visitor has a Konecto profile and QR. Exhibitor staff open the scanner link, scan, and the visitor taps to share their details with that exhibitor. Notes and a hot, warm or cold rating are added in seconds, and every scan also counts towards any booth quest. ## Steps 1. Invite your team: Exhibitor staff get a scanner link for their booth. 2. Scan and qualify: Scan the visitor QR, add a note and a rating. 3. Export: Download consented leads or send them to your CRM. ## FAQ ### What does it cost? Lead capture is £49 per booth, per event. Organisers can include it in exhibitor packages. ### Do visitors have to agree? Yes. Contact details are shared only when the visitor confirms, and consent is stored with the lead. ### Does it need an app? No. It runs in the phone browser. ### Do scans count for challenges? Yes. Booth scans by exhibitor staff are the fairest way to count booth quests. --- # Meet the people you came for. Audience: Attendees Problem: "I spent the day talking to the wrong people." Page: https://konec.to/people-to-meet Konecto suggests people to meet at an event based on what each attendee chooses: their interests and who they would like to meet (roles, industries, what they are looking for). Suggestions include exact matches, close matches on related topics, and complementary needs, each with a plain reason such as "You both listed supply chain". Contact details are shared only when both people accept. ## Why it happens - At a big show the right person is often three aisles away and you never find out. - Attendee lists are long, unsorted and mostly names. - Most networking tools hide how they decide, so people ignore their suggestions. ## How Konecto fixes it Attendees add interests and "I would like to meet" choices to their Konecto profile. Konecto compares them with other opted-in attendees and exhibitors at the same event, scores exact matches, related topics and complementary needs (for example someone looking for distributors and a distributor looking for new brands), and shows a short list with the reason for each. ## Steps 1. Say what you are after: Pick interests, and who you would like to meet: roles, industries, "looking for". 2. See suggestions: People and booths that match, each with the reason why. 3. Connect: Send a request or scan their QR on the floor. Details are shared when both accept. ## FAQ ### Is this AI matchmaking? No. Suggestions come from what people chose on their profiles: shared or related interests and matching needs. Every suggestion shows its reason. ### Who can be suggested? Only attendees and exhibitors who have turned on "Suggest me to others" for that event. ### What is a close match? Topics that are related, such as "logistics" and "supply chain", or complementary needs, such as a startup looking for investors and an investor looking for startups. ### Can I stop suggestions? Yes. Turn them off, hide someone, or change your interests at any time. --- # Trade shows where every booth gets visited. Audience: Trade shows Problem: "Exhibitors asked where the traffic was." Page: https://konec.to/trade-show-software Konecto is built for trade shows and exhibitions: attendees register and get a Konecto profile they can customise, exhibitors scan attendee profiles at their booths, organisers run challenges such as "scan every booth to enter the prize draw", and every exhibitor gets a report of visits and consented leads. ## Why it happens - Traffic clusters around the entrance and the biggest stands; smaller exhibitors go home empty. - Badge scanners and lead apps are rented separately and rarely talk to the ticketing. - Exhibitors rebook on proof, and most organisers cannot show it. ## How Konecto fixes it Every attendee has a Konecto profile and QR. Exhibitors scan it at the booth, the Challenges module turns scans and connections into points and rewards the organiser chooses, and Sponsors and Analytics turn it all into per-exhibitor reports. ## Steps 1. Set up the floor: Add exhibitors, booths and zones, and give exhibitor staff the scanner. 2. Launch a challenge: For example: scan 15 booths and connect with 30% of exhibitors to enter the prize draw. 3. Report back: Every exhibitor gets visits, scans and consented leads. ## FAQ ### Do attendees need to download an app? No. Their profile and QR open in the browser at me.konec.to. ### Can small exhibitors get traffic too? Yes. Challenges can require visits to every booth, or to a zone, so traffic spreads across the floor. ### Who scans whom? Either works: exhibitor staff scan the attendee profile QR, or attendees scan a booth QR. ### Do exhibitors get attendee contact details? Only for attendees who agree to share their details with that exhibitor. --- # Scan every booth. Win something. Audience: Trade shows Problem: "Half the booths never got a visitor." Page: https://konec.to/event-gamification The Konecto Challenges module lets organisers gamify trade shows and conferences. Challenges combine actions such as scanning booths, connecting with a percentage of exhibitors or attendees, attending sessions, visiting sponsor pages or completing surveys. Organisers choose targets and rewards, and attendees track progress on their Konecto profile. ## Why it happens - Passports on paper get lost, faked and never counted. - Generic "visit the sponsors" asks do not move people round the floor. - Organisers have no easy way to run a fair prize draw at the end of the day. ## How Konecto fixes it Pick actions and targets, set the time window, and choose a reward: a prize draw, instant prizes, points and levels, a leaderboard, discounts or VIP access. Every scan and connection counts automatically, with one scan per booth and optional staff verification to keep it fair. ## Steps 1. Choose actions: Booth scans, exhibitor connections, sessions, sponsor visits, surveys, check-in times. 2. Set targets and rewards: For example: all 20 booths plus 30% of exhibitors earns a prize draw entry. 3. Watch it live: Progress and leaderboards update in real time; winners are drawn fairly. ## FAQ ### What can a challenge count? Booth scans, connections with exhibitors or attendees, session check-ins, sponsor page visits, offer redemptions, surveys and more. ### Can I use percentages? Yes. For example, connect with 30% of exhibitors, or visit 80% of booths in a zone. ### Who chooses the reward? You do, for each challenge: prize draws, instant rewards, badges, discounts, VIP perks or donations. ### How do you stop cheating? One scan per booth per person, optional staff-verified scans, cooldowns and caps, and an audit trail of every point. --- # Every attendee gets a Konecto profile. Audience: Attendees Problem: "Nobody knew who anyone was." Page: https://konec.to/attendee-profiles Every Konecto attendee gets a Konecto profile at me.konec.to/ with a personal QR code. Attendees customise it with a photo, cover, role, company, bio, links, interests and what they are looking for, and choose which fields are public. Exhibitors and other attendees scan it to connect, and it carries over to every Konecto event. ## Why it happens - Name badges show a name and a company, and nothing people can act on. - Every event app asks attendees to build a profile from scratch. - Exhibitors cannot tell who is worth a longer conversation. ## How Konecto fixes it The profile is created when someone registers, filled with what they entered. They add a photo, links and interests, pick a colour, and choose what is public, visible to fellow attendees, or shared only when they connect. ## Steps 1. Register: A profile is created automatically from the ticket. 2. Make it yours: Photo, cover, role, company, links, interests, "looking for". 3. Scan and connect: At booths and in the aisles, at every Konecto event. ## FAQ ### Is the profile public? Every attendee has one; each person chooses which fields are public, visible to attendees, or shared only on connect. ### Can I customise it? Yes: photo, cover, colour, bio, links, interests, "looking for", and which sections to show. ### Does it work at other events? Yes. One profile for every Konecto event. ### Can I hide it? Yes. You can make everything except your name private at any time. --- # The Eventbrite alternative that keeps fees low. Audience: Organisers Problem: "Fees ate our margin." Page: https://konec.to/eventbrite-alternative Konecto is a ticketing and event platform for organisers who want lower fees. Free events cost nothing. Paid tickets carry a single per-ticket fee, set below the major marketplaces, and payouts go directly to the organiser through Stripe. ## Why it happens - Marketplace fees stack: a platform fee, a payment fee and sometimes a fee on the fee. - Payouts can wait until after the event, which hurts cash flow. - The marketplace owns the relationship with your attendees. ## How Konecto fixes it Konecto checkout runs on Stripe Connect. The buyer pays, Stripe pays you, and Konecto takes one small application fee on paid tickets only. You choose whether the buyer or you covers it. ## Steps 1. Connect Stripe: Create your organisation and connect a Stripe account in a few minutes. 2. Add tickets: Free, paid, hidden or limited. Set prices, capacity and sale dates. 3. Sell: Share your event page. Money lands in your Stripe account, not ours. ## FAQ ### Are free events really free? Yes. Free and registration-only events carry no Konecto fee. ### Who pays the ticket fee? You choose per event: pass it to the buyer at checkout or absorb it. ### When do I get paid? Payouts follow your Stripe account schedule, because the money goes to your Stripe account directly. ### Can I move from Eventbrite? Yes. Recreate the event in Konecto or ask your AI to do it, then share the new event page. Attendee exports import as CSV. --- # Create your event by asking Claude or ChatGPT. Audience: Organisers Problem: "Setup took a week." Page: https://konec.to/create-event-with-ai Konecto has an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT. Once connected, you can ask your AI to create an event, add ticket types, set up the event page and publish it. Everything the AI creates appears in the Konecto organiser app, and anything that moves money needs your confirmation. ## Why it happens - Setting up an event means the same details typed into five different tools. - Event pages, tickets and emails each have their own settings to learn. - Small changes late at night still need someone at a laptop. ## How Konecto fixes it Your AI calls Konecto tools like create_event, create_ticket_type and publish_event_page. Konecto does the work and shows it in your organiser app. Refunds, domain purchases and module purchases always come back to you as a confirmation link. ## Steps 1. Connect: Add the Konecto connector in Claude or ChatGPT and sign in. 2. Ask: "Create a 150-person founder meetup next Friday, tickets £20, black and cream page." 3. Check and publish: Review it in the chat or the organiser app, then publish. ## FAQ ### Do I need AI to use Konecto? No. Everything can be done in the organiser app. AI is a second way in. ### Can the AI spend my money? No. Payments, refunds and purchases return a link you confirm yourself. ### Which assistants work? Claude and ChatGPT through the Konecto connector, and any MCP-compatible client. ### Does Konecto have its own AI? No. Konecto runs on the assistant you already use. --- # Every event gets a page. Automatically. Audience: Organisers Problem: "We had no time for a website." Page: https://konec.to/event-website-builder Every Konecto event gets a branded event page at konec.to/e/your-event, built from templates. Organisers set the colours, fonts, images and sections, with ticketing built in. The page can move to a custom domain on the Pro site module, and developers can build fully custom sites on the Konecto API. ## Why it happens - A website builder, a ticketing widget and a form tool never quite match. - Custom sites take weeks and break when someone edits them. - Event pages are often slow on phones, where most tickets are bought. ## How Konecto fixes it Konecto renders your page from structured settings, so it is fast, accessible and consistent. Every page includes event structured data for search, sharing images and a ticket section that always matches your live availability. ## Steps 1. Choose a template: Three to five strong layouts, each built for ticket sales. 2. Make it yours: Logo, hero image, colours, font, and the sections you want in the order you want. 3. Publish: Live at konec.to/e/your-event, or on your own domain with Pro site. ## FAQ ### Can I edit the HTML? Not on Konecto pages. For full control, build your own site with the Konecto API and ticket components. ### Can I use my own domain? Yes, with the Pro site module. Your Konecto address then redirects to it. ### Is the page good for search? Every page outputs complete Event structured data, clean titles and sharing images. ### Can my AI build the page? Your AI can choose the template, set the theme and edit sections through the connector. --- # Event check-in without the queue. Audience: Organisers Problem: "The door queue went round the block." Page: https://konec.to/event-check-in Konecto check-in turns any phone into a QR ticket scanner in the browser. ## Why it happens - Paper lists and one laptop make one slow queue. - Venue Wi-Fi drops exactly when the doors open. - Screenshots of the same ticket get people in twice. ## How Konecto fixes it Door staff open the Konecto scanner in their phone browser. The guest list downloads first. Online, every scan is checked with the server in real time. If the signal drops, the phone keeps scanning, remembers what it scanned, and syncs the moment it reconnects, flagging any ticket that was also scanned on another offline phone. ## Steps 1. Download nothing: Staff open the scanner link. No app store, no hardware. 2. Scan: Point the camera at the ticket QR. Green means in. 3. Watch it live: Arrivals, capacity and no-shows update in real time. ## FAQ ### Does it work without internet? Yes. Scans are stored on the phone and sync when the connection returns. ### How many devices can scan? As many as you have staff. While online, a ticket scanned on one phone is rejected on every other phone straight away. ### What happens if several phones are offline? Each phone rejects tickets it has already scanned itself. When the phones reconnect they sync, and any ticket that was scanned on two phones is flagged so you can follow up. Keep at least one scanner online, or on a mobile hotspot, for the strongest protection. ### Can staff only see check-in? Yes. Door staff roles see the scanner and nothing else. Team members are free. ### What if someone lost their ticket? Search by name or email and check them in manually. --- # Get your attendees talking. Scanning each other connects them, they can chat, and the connection stays after the event, across every Konecto event they attend. ## Why it happens - Networking apps are separate downloads that most attendees never open. - Contacts made at the event vanish into business cards and lost names. - Organisers have no way to see whether people actually met. ## How Konecto fixes it The attendee app lives at me.konec.to, opened straight from the ticket email. Networking is optional: attendees set up a card when they want to meet people, choose what is public, and connect by scanning each other's QR. ## Steps 1. Ticket first: Attendees open their ticket from the email. No download. 2. Set up a card: Name, role, company, links. They choose what to share. 3. Connect: Scan a card, chat, and keep the connection for good. ## FAQ ### Is the attendee app free? Yes, for every organiser and every attendee. ### Do attendees have to be visible? No. Profiles are hidden until the attendee chooses to set up a card. ### Do connections last after the event? Yes. Connections and one-to-one chats belong to the two people. ### Can organisers read chats? No. Organisers see engagement numbers, never private messages. --- # Show sponsors exactly what they got. Audience: Organisers Problem: "Sponsors asked what they got." Page: https://konec.to/sponsor-analytics Konecto records every interaction between attendees and sponsors: sponsor page views, link clicks, chats, booth scans and redeemed offers. The Analytics and Sponsors modules turn this into per-sponsor dashboards and reports, with contact details shared only when attendees consent. ## Why it happens - Sponsors renew on proof, and a logo on a banner is hard to prove. - Leads collected on paper rarely reach the sponsor's CRM. - Organisers rebuild the same sponsor report by hand after every event. ## How Konecto fixes it Every sponsor touchpoint in the attendee app, the event page and at the booth is logged. Aggregates can always be shared; names and contact details reach a sponsor only when the attendee says yes. ## Steps 1. Add sponsors: Tiers, logos, offers and sponsor pages. 2. Run the event: Views, clicks, chats and scans are recorded automatically. 3. Send the report: One report per sponsor, ready after the event. ## FAQ ### What counts as an interaction? Sponsor page views, link and offer clicks, chats, booth scans, session check-ins and redemptions. ### Do sponsors see attendee names? Only for attendees who explicitly agree to share their details with that sponsor. ### Can sponsors log in? Yes, with Lead capture, sponsors get a portal for their own numbers and leads. ### Can sponsors compare themselves to others? No. Comparisons between sponsors are visible to the organiser only. --- # Know if the event made money, before it ends. Audience: Organisers Problem: "We didn't know if we made money." Page: https://konec.to/event-budget-and-finance The Konecto Finance module gives each event a budget by category, planned against actual costs, with ticket revenue added automatically after fees. Organisers see a live profit and loss, the break-even ticket count and cost per attendee. ## Why it happens - Budgets live in one spreadsheet and ticket revenue in another. - Fees and refunds make the real revenue number hard to find. - The true result only appears weeks later. ## How Konecto fixes it Ticket sales, refunds and fees flow in from Konecto checkout automatically. You add costs as they happen, from the app or by asking your AI, and the P&L updates on the spot. ## Steps 1. Plan: Set a budget by category: venue, catering, AV, marketing. 2. Record: Add actual costs as invoices arrive. 3. Know: Live P&L, break-even and cost per attendee. ## FAQ ### Does ticket revenue update automatically? Yes, including fees and refunds. ### Can I export for my accountant? Yes, as CSV or XLSX. ### Can I buy Finance for one event? Yes. Every module is bought per event. ### Can my AI add costs? Yes. "Add £1,200 for catering to Friday's meetup" works through the connector. --- # Every task for the event, on one board. Audience: Organisers and teams Problem: "Planning lived in twelve chats." Page: https://konec.to/event-planning-board The Konecto Kanban module gives each event a task board with owners, due dates and reusable templates, plus a runsheet for the day, alongside the event's tickets, attendees and finance. ## Why it happens - Tasks are spread across spreadsheets, notes and group chats. - Every event starts from a blank checklist. - Nobody knows who owns what until something is missed. ## How Konecto fixes it Start from a template for your event type, assign owners, and move cards as work happens. Your AI can add and move tasks too. ## Steps 1. Start from a template: Meetup, conference, workshop or your own. 2. Assign: Owners and due dates on every card. 3. Run the day: Turn the board into a runsheet. ## FAQ ### Can I reuse boards? Yes. Save any board as a template. ### Can my team use it? Yes. Team members are free and unlimited; the board is part of the Kanban module for the event. ### Can my AI manage tasks? Yes, through the Konecto connector. ### Is it per event? Yes, with templates shared across your organisation. --- # Know what sold the ticket. Audience: Organisers Problem: "We couldn't tell what sold tickets." Page: https://konec.to/event-analytics The Konecto Analytics module shows ticket sales over time, where buyers came from, conversion from page view to purchase, check-in rates and attendee engagement for each event. ## Why it happens - Ticket platforms show totals, not what caused them. - Campaign links are hard to connect to real purchases. - Attendance and engagement are guesses. ## How Konecto fixes it Konecto records page views, checkout starts, purchases and check-ins from the start, so switching Analytics on shows your full history straight away. ## Steps 1. Share tracked links: Add UTM tags to each campaign. 2. Sell: Every view and purchase is recorded. 3. Compare: See which channel sold, and who actually came. ## FAQ ### Do I lose data before I enable Analytics? No. Data is collected from the start and shown when you enable it. ### Does it use cookies? Event pages use privacy-friendly measurement; see the privacy policy for details. ### Can I export? Yes, as CSV. ### Can my AI read it? Yes. "Which channel sold the most tickets this week?" works through the connector. --- # Attendee data, handled properly. Audience: Organisers Problem: "We worried about attendee data." Page: https://konec.to/gdpr-events Konecto is built for GDPR: the organiser is the data controller and Konecto the processor, registration includes a configurable consent field, attendees can export and delete their data, and deleting an event purges its attendee data within 30 days. ## Why it happens - Marketplaces reuse attendee data for their own marketing. - Consent is often an afterthought in forms. - Deleting data on request is manual and slow. ## How Konecto fixes it Consent is captured and stored with every registration. Attendees manage their own data in the attendee app, and organisers can export or delete event data at any time. ## Steps 1. Collect consent: A mandatory, configurable consent field on every form. 2. Stay in control: Export or delete event data at any time. 3. Respect choices: Attendees control visibility, messaging and sponsor sharing. ## FAQ ### Who owns attendee data? The organiser. Konecto is the processor. ### Where is data hosted? In the EU. ### Is there a data processing agreement? Yes, available to every organiser. ### Does Konecto market to my attendees? No. Attendee data is never used for Konecto marketing. --- # Meet once. Stay connected. Audience: Attendees Problem: "We met, then lost each other." Page: https://konec.to/contact-card A Konecto card is a free digital contact card with a personal QR code. Attendees of Konecto events use it to connect by scanning, chat, and keep their connections after the event, across every organiser. It lives at me.konec.to with their tickets. ## Why it happens - Business cards end up in a drawer. - Searching for someone later rarely works if you only caught a first name. - Every event app starts your network from zero. ## How Konecto fixes it Your card and your tickets live together at me.konec.to. You choose what is public, what is shared when you connect and what stays private. Save any connection to your phone contacts in one tap. ## Steps 1. Get your ticket: Buy or register for any Konecto event. 2. Set up your card: Add what you want to share. 3. Scan and keep: Connections and chats stay with you. ## FAQ ### Is it free? Yes, always, for attendees. ### Do I need an app? No. It is a web app at me.konec.to that you can add to your home screen. ### Who can see my card? Only what you make public, and more only when you connect. ### Can I export my connections? Yes, to your phone contacts or as a CSV. --- # Leads that reach your CRM. Audience: Sponsors Problem: "Our booth leads were on paper." Page: https://konec.to/for-sponsors Konecto Lead capture lets sponsor staff scan attendee Konecto cards at the booth, add notes and ratings, and export leads to their CRM. Contact details are shared only with attendee consent, and sponsors get a portal with their own engagement numbers. ## Why it happens - Paper cards and photos of badges never make it into the CRM. - Sponsors cannot see what their spend achieved. - Lead retrieval tools are expensive, separate and clunky. ## How Konecto fixes it Your staff scan cards from their phone browser. Each scan asks the attendee to share their details, records consent, and lands in your lead list with your notes. ## Steps 1. Scan: Staff scan attendee cards from any phone. 2. Qualify: Add a note and a rating in seconds. 3. Export: Send consented leads to your CRM. ## FAQ ### Who pays for Lead capture? Usually the sponsor, per booth per event. Organisers can include it in packages. ### Is consent recorded? Yes, with every lead. ### Which CRMs are supported? CSV export works with any CRM; direct integrations are planned. ### Can we see our engagement? Yes, in your sponsor portal. --- # Built for people who run a lot of events. Audience: Venues and series Problem: "We set up the same event every week." Page: https://konec.to/for-venues Konecto supports organisations that run many events: reusable event and task templates, free unlimited team members who see every organisation event (or only the events you allow), organisation-wide plans arranged with our team, and an organisation community that attendees join so they come back. ## Why it happens - Repeating the same setup for every event wastes hours. - Staff details are re-entered every time. - Regulars are treated like strangers at every event. ## How Konecto fixes it Duplicate any event with its tickets, page and tasks. Keep your team in one organisation, free, and let attendees join your community so their network is already there next time. ## Steps 1. Template it: Save an event as a template. 2. Duplicate: New date, same everything else. 3. Grow a community: Attendees join your community and come back. ## FAQ ### Can we get one overview of all our events? Yes. Organisation-wide plans with a single overview across events are arranged with our team. Get in touch. ### Can I run several events at once? Yes. ### Do attendees keep a relationship with us? Yes, through your organisation community in the attendee app. ### Is there a discount for universities? Talk to us at hello@konec.to. --- # Build any site. Konecto is the backend. Audience: Agencies and developers Problem: "Our client wanted a custom site." Page: https://konec.to/developers Konecto is a headless events backend. Developers build fully custom event sites anywhere and use the Konecto Public API, TypeScript SDK and drop-in components for event data, ticket availability and checkout, with signed webhooks for orders and check-ins. ## Why it happens - Building ticketing, payments and check-in yourself takes months. - Embedded widgets rarely match a bespoke design. - Handling card data brings compliance work nobody wants. ## How Konecto fixes it Read events, agenda, speakers and availability from the Public API with a publishable key limited to your domains. Send buyers to Konecto checkout. Listen for webhooks. Attendees still get their tickets in the Konecto attendee app. ## Steps 1. Get keys: A publishable key for the browser, a secret key for your server. 2. Build: Use the SDK or drop in . 3. Listen: Webhooks for orders, refunds and check-ins. ## FAQ ### Is the API free? Yes. The API is part of the free core; paid tickets carry the usual ticket fee. ### Do I handle payments? No. Checkout always runs on Konecto through Stripe. ### Can I replace the attendee app? No. Attendees always get their tickets and network in the Konecto attendee app. ### Is there an OpenAPI spec? Yes, plus an SDK and LLM-friendly docs. --- # Connect your AI. Run your event. Audience: AI users Problem: "I want my AI to actually do it." Page: https://konec.to/mcp Konecto offers a remote MCP server so AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can operate Konecto for an organiser: create events and tickets, configure and publish the event page, manage attendees, tasks and finance, and read analytics. Sign-in uses OAuth, and actions that move money require the organiser's confirmation. ## Why it happens - Your AI can write the plan, but it cannot usually act on it. - Copying answers from chat into tools is slow and error-prone. - Most platforms are not built to be operated by an assistant safely. ## How Konecto fixes it Add the Konecto connector, sign in, and choose the organisation and permissions to grant. Your assistant then uses Konecto tools, and everything appears in your organiser app too. ## Steps 1. Add the connector: In Claude or ChatGPT, add Konecto from the connectors list or by URL. 2. Sign in: Choose your organisation and what the AI may do. 3. Ask: Create, change and check your events in plain language. ## FAQ ### Is it safe? Access uses OAuth with scopes you choose, every action is logged, and money-moving actions need your confirmation. ### Can I revoke access? Yes, at any time in the organiser app. ### What can it not do? It cannot pay, refund or buy anything without you confirming. ### Which clients are supported? Claude, ChatGPT and any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth. --- # Documentation --- # Konecto documentation Section: Get started Page: https://docs.konec.to/ What Konecto is, its surfaces, and where to start. Konecto is an events platform built first for trade shows and conferences: tickets, event pages, door check-in, attendee profiles, booth scanning, challenges and a lasting attendee network. You can run it in the organiser app, drive it from an AI assistant through MCP, or use it as a headless backend for your own site. > Beta: the API and MCP server are in private beta. Endpoints and tool names may change before general availability. Changes are announced in the changelog. ## Surfaces | Surface | Address | For | | --- | --- | --- | | Event page | konec.to/e/ | Public page with tickets, rendered from templates | | Organiser app | app.konec.to | Creating and running events | | Attendee app | me.konec.to | Tickets, public profile, connections, chats, challenges | | MCP server | mcp.konec.to | Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients | | API | api.konec.to/v1 | Custom sites and integrations | ## Where to start - Organisers using AI: Connect an AI assistant (/mcp/overview) - Developers building a custom site: Quickstart (/quickstart) - Agencies: Public API (/api/public) and Components (/components/overview) - Agents reading these docs: the plain-text version is at https://llm.konec.to/llms-full.txt --- # Quickstart: sell a ticket from your own site Section: Get started Page: https://docs.konec.to/quickstart Get keys, show ticket availability and send a buyer to Konecto checkout. This guide sells a ticket from a site you host anywhere. ## 1. Get your keys In the organiser app open Settings, Developers. You get: - a publishable key (pk_live_…) for the browser, limited to the origins you allow; - a secret key (sk_live_…) for your server. Never put it in client code. Add your site's origin (for example https://acmesummit.com) to Allowed origins. ## 2. Drop in the ticket component ``html ` The component shows live ticket types and availability and opens Konecto checkout. ## 3. Or use the SDK `ts import { Konecto } from '@konecto/sdk'; const konecto = new Konecto({ publishableKey: 'pk_live_...' }); const event = await konecto.events.get('acme-summit'); const { url } = await konecto.checkout.create({ event: 'acme-summit', items: [{ ticketType: 'standard', quantity: 2 }], successUrl: 'https://acmesummit.com/thanks', }); window.location.href = url; ` ## 4. Listen for orders Add a webhook endpoint in Settings, Developers, Webhooks and handle order.paid`. See Webhooks (/api/webhooks). Gamification works when it gives people a reason to do what already makes the event better: visit more booths, meet more people, stay for more sessions. Here are 25 challenges, grouped by what they move. ## Get people round the floor 1. Booth quest: scan every booth to enter the prize draw. 2. Zone quest: visit every booth in one zone, such as Startups or Sustainability. 3. Hidden booths: five booths are secretly worth double; attendees find out after scanning. 4. Passport stamps by category: one booth from each industry category. 5. Late-afternoon boost: booth scans after 15:00 count twice, when the floor goes quiet. ## Get people talking 6. Connector: connect with 30% of exhibitors. 7. Make five friends: five new attendee connections in a day. 8. Ask an expert: connect with three speakers or exhibitor specialists. 9. Cross-industry bingo: connect with people from four different industries. 10. Mentor match: first-time attendees who connect with two returning attendees get a perk. ## Fill the rooms 11. Session explorer: attend three talks from different tracks. 12. Keynote plus one: the keynote and one workshop. 13. Stay till the end: check in to the closing session. 14. Feedback hero: answer the post-session survey for every talk you attend. ## Help sponsors and exhibitors 15. Sponsor tour: visit every gold sponsor's page and booth. 16. Offer hunter: redeem two exhibitor offers. 17. Demo day: book or attend three product demos. 18. Exhibitor trivia: answer one question at each partner booth. ## Reward good behaviour 19. Early bird: check in before 09:30 for a coffee. 20. Profile pro: complete your Konecto profile with a photo and interests. 21. Green traveller: check in by public transport or bike and earn points. 22. Community builder: refer a colleague who registers. ## Make it competitive 23. Live leaderboard: points for every action, top ten win, shown on screens. 24. Team challenge: companies compete on total connections. 25. Daily champion: a fresh leaderboard every day of a multi-day show. ## Pick rewards people care about Prize draws for something big, instant rewards for the first finishers, VIP perks, discounts on next year's ticket, badges on their profile, or a donation to a charity for every completion. Match the reward to the effort: a coffee for an early check-in, a draw entry for a full booth quest. ## Keep it fair One scan per booth per person, scans made by exhibitor staff rather than self-scanned posters, cooldowns on rapid scanning, and a review of entries before the draw. > In Konecto: the Challenges module lets you build any of these from actions, targets and rewards you choose, and attendees see their progress on their Konecto profile. --- # How to design a booth quest exhibitors will thank you for Category: Gamification Published: 2026-09-17 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/design-a-booth-quest A booth quest can spread traffic across the whole floor, or annoy everyone. Targets, rewards and rules that make it work. A booth quest asks attendees to visit a set of booths to earn a reward. Done well, small exhibitors get the traffic they paid for. Done badly, people speed-scan and leave. ## Set a target people can finish If there are 60 booths, "scan all 60" will be finished by a handful of people. Aim for a target most engaged attendees can reach in two to three hours: 15 to 20 booths, or every booth in one zone. ## Make the visit count A scan should mean a conversation. Let exhibitor staff scan the attendee's profile QR, rather than attendees scanning a poster, so every scan happens face to face. ## Combine visits with connections "Scan 15 booths and connect with 30% of exhibitors" rewards real conversations, and gives exhibitors consented contacts. ## Choose a reward worth the walk - A prize draw for one big prize, drawn on stage at the end - Instant rewards for the first 100 finishers - A VIP lounge or early access for completers ## Tell exhibitors in advance Explain the rules, when traffic will peak, and what they can do to stand out: a short demo, a question, a small giveaway. ## Share the results After the event, show each exhibitor how many quest visits they got and how many turned into connections. That number sells next year's stand. > In Konecto: create the quest in the Challenges module, choose staff-verified scans, and every exhibitor's report includes the visits it generated. --- # Spread traffic to every booth on a trade show floor Category: Trade shows Published: 2026-09-03 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/spread-traffic-trade-show-floor Traffic clusters near the entrance and the big stands. Layout, programming and challenges that get people to the back of the hall. On most trade show floors, the first rows and the biggest stands take most of the traffic. Exhibitors at the back pay the same and go home disappointed. You can change that. ## Put the magnets at the back Coffee, food, the main stage and the charging station pull people. Place them so attendees walk past as many booths as possible to reach them. ## Break long aisles Long straight aisles make people walk fast. Islands, feature areas and seating slow them down near exhibitors. ## Programme the quiet hours Traffic dips after lunch and late in the afternoon. Schedule demos, short talks on the floor, or a double-points challenge window then. ## Use zones Group exhibitors by theme and give each zone a reason to visit: a talk, a showcase, a challenge. ## Gamify the long tail A challenge that requires one booth from every zone, or every booth in the back rows, sends people exactly where they need to go. ## Measure it Track visits per booth by hour. Next year, use the map of cold spots to change the layout and price stands fairly. > In Konecto: booth scans, challenge visits and exhibitor reports show which parts of the floor worked, hour by hour. --- # How to price event tickets without guessing Category: Tickets Published: 2026-09-21 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/how-to-price-event-tickets Start from your costs, not your competitors. A simple way to set a price, a first tier and a break-even number before you open sales. Most organisers price tickets by looking at what a similar event charged. That tells you what the market tolerates, not whether your event pays for itself. Start from the other end. ## 1. Add up what the event costs List every cost you already know: venue, catering, AV, speakers' travel, insurance, printing, marketing. Add a contingency of 10 to 15 percent for the things you don't know yet. That total is your cost base. ## 2. Decide how many people will realistically pay Not the venue capacity: the number you are confident you can sell. For a first event, that is often 60 to 70 percent of capacity. Divide your cost base by that number. The result is your break-even price. ## 3. Set tiers around break-even - Early bird: at or slightly under break-even, for a limited number or a short window. It creates urgency and gives you early cash. - Standard: 20 to 40 percent above break-even. This is where you make the event sustainable. - Late or door: a little higher again, to reward people who commit early. ## 4. Check it against the market Now look at comparable events. If your standard price sits far above them, either your costs are high (trim them) or your event offers something they don't (say so clearly on the page). ## 5. Watch the first week of sales The first 7 days tell you more than any spreadsheet. If early birds sell out in hours, your price is probably low. If nothing moves, the problem is usually the page or the audience, not the price. > In Konecto: the Finance module shows your break-even ticket count live as costs and sales come in, so you can see the moment the event starts making money. --- # What makes an event page actually sell tickets Category: Marketing Published: 2026-09-14 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/event-page-that-sells Five things every high-converting event page gets right, from the first line to the ticket button. Your event page has one job: turn a curious visitor into a ticket holder. Most pages lose people in the first five seconds because they answer the wrong questions first. ## Answer the three questions in the first screen Visitors want to know what it is, when and where it is, and what it costs. Put the name, date, city and a clear "Get tickets" button above the fold. Everything else can wait. ## Write the promise, not the agenda "Founders, operators and investors. Short talks, long conversations." beats "A networking event for the startup ecosystem". Say who it is for and what they get. ## Show real people Speakers with photos and one-line credentials do more than a paragraph of claims. If you have photos from a past edition, use them. ## Make the ticket choice easy Two or three ticket types at most on the page. Show what is included and how many are left when numbers are low. Hidden tickets (speakers, sponsors, VIPs) belong behind private links. ## Load fast on a phone Most tickets are bought on phones, often from a link in a group chat. Heavy images and slow pages quietly cost you sales. ## A quick checklist - Name, date, city and price visible without scrolling - One sentence on who it is for - Speakers or hosts with photos - Two or three ticket types, clearly described - FAQ covering refunds, accessibility and what to bring - A sharing image that looks good in a chat preview > In Konecto: every event gets a page built from templates designed around these rules, with search-ready event data and a ticket section that always shows live availability. --- # Run a door with no queue Category: On the day Published: 2026-09-07 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/check-in-without-queues The door is the first thing attendees remember. How to staff it, lay it out and handle the awkward cases. A long queue at the door sets the mood for the whole event. The good news: most queues come from a handful of fixable causes. ## Staff for the peak, not the average Most people arrive in a 20 to 30 minute window. A single scanner handles roughly 4 to 6 people a minute when tickets are ready. For 200 people arriving in 25 minutes, plan for at least two scanning points. ## Separate the fast lane from the problem lane Put one person on "ticket problems": lost emails, wrong names, plus-ones. Everyone else keeps scanning. One tricky case should never stop the line. ## Tell people to have their ticket ready Send a reminder on the morning of the event with the QR code and the door opening time. Put a sign before the door: "Have your ticket QR ready." ## Plan for bad signal Venue Wi-Fi fails exactly when the doors open. Use a scanner that downloads the guest list in advance and keeps working offline. If several phones go offline together, they cannot see each other's scans until they reconnect, so keep at least one scanner on a mobile hotspot and give each door its own list of lanes. ## Decide the rules before the day - Do you accept screenshots? (Yes, if duplicate scans are rejected.) - Can someone collect a ticket for a friend? - What happens with walk-ins, and can they pay at the door? ## Watch the numbers Knowing that 312 of 450 people are in tells you when to start the programme and whether to open a second room. > In Konecto: any phone is the scanner. Online, a ticket can only get in once across every device; offline, phones keep scanning, sync when they reconnect, and flag any ticket scanned twice. --- # Five ways to help attendees actually meet each other Category: Networking Published: 2026-08-31 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/help-attendees-meet Networking rarely happens by accident. Small design choices that get strangers talking, and keep them connected after. "Great networking" is on almost every event page, and in most rooms people still talk to the one person they came with. Connection needs a bit of design. ## 1. Give people a reason to talk Name badges with a question ("Ask me about…") or a colour for "hiring" and "looking" start conversations that a name alone never will. ## 2. Design the first ten minutes Early arrivals stand alone with a drink. Have hosts whose only job is to introduce people in the first half hour. ## 3. Make small groups Round tables, breakout circles of six, or a "find three people you don't know" prompt work better than one big open room. ## 4. Make swapping details effortless If exchanging contacts means spelling an email address in a loud room, it won't happen. A scannable card makes it a two-second action. ## 5. Keep the connection alive afterwards Most event connections die the next morning. Send attendees a list of the people they met, or give them a place where connections and conversations continue. > In Konecto: attendees can set up a free Konecto card with a personal QR. Scanning connects them, and their connections and chats stay after the event, across every Konecto event they go to. --- # The sponsor report that gets you renewed Category: Sponsors Published: 2026-08-24 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/sponsor-reports-that-renew Sponsors renew on proof. What to track during the event and how to present it in one page afterwards. Sponsors rarely stop because the event was bad. They stop because nobody could show them what they got. A one-page report fixes that. ## Agree the goals before the event Ask each sponsor what success looks like: leads, brand awareness, hiring, product feedback. You can only report on what you planned to measure. ## Track touchpoints, not just attendance Useful numbers include: - Unique attendees who visited the sponsor's page or booth - Booth scans and consented leads - Clicks on their offers or links - Chats started with their team - Attendance at sessions they ran or backed ## Respect consent Aggregate numbers can always be shared. Names and contact details should only reach a sponsor when the attendee agreed to share them with that sponsor. ## Keep it to one page Lead with the three numbers they care about most, then a short list of what worked, and one suggestion for next time. Add photos of their booth or session. ## Send it within a week A report that arrives a month later competes with next year's budget decisions. Send it while the event is still fresh. > In Konecto: the Sponsors and Analytics modules record every sponsor touchpoint automatically and produce a report per sponsor after the event. --- # A simple event budget you will actually keep up to date Category: Money Published: 2026-08-17 Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/blog/event-budget-template Six categories, two columns and one number to watch. A budget structure that works for meetups and conferences alike. Most event budgets are built once, then abandoned the week before the event, which is exactly when the money moves. Keep it simple enough to update in a minute. ## Use six categories 1. Venue: hire, deposits, security, cleaning 2. Food and drink: catering, coffee, water, service charges 3. Production: AV, stage, lighting, photography 4. People: speaker fees and travel, staff, volunteers' costs 5. Marketing: ads, printing, design 6. Other: insurance, licences, badges, contingency ## Keep two columns: planned and actual Planned is what you expect. Actual is what the invoice says. The gap between them is where surprises show up early. ## Put income on the same page Ticket revenue after fees, sponsorship, grants and any merchandise. Remember refunds and payment processing. ## Watch one number: the break-even How many more tickets do you need to sell to cover costs? If that number is going down every week, you are fine. If it is going up, act now: trim a cost or push marketing. ## Close the budget within a week Match every invoice, record the final revenue, and write two lines on what you would change. That note is the most valuable part of next year's budget. > In Konecto: the Finance module adds ticket revenue automatically, after fees and refunds, and shows a live P&L and break-even for every event. --- # Help centre --- # How do I create my organisation? Konecto never oversells. - Sale window: when sales open and close. - Per-order limit: the most one buyer can take. - Visibility: public, or hidden and only reachable by a private link (for speakers, sponsors or VIPs). You can also add promo codes (percentage or fixed amount) and turn on a waitlist when a ticket sells out. --- # How do I get paid for tickets? Category: Tickets and checkout Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/how-payouts-work Ticket money goes to your own Stripe account through Stripe Connect, on your Stripe payout schedule. Konecto never holds it. Konecto checkout runs on Stripe Connect. When a buyer pays, the payment is made to your Stripe account and Konecto takes its ticket fee as a separate application fee. - Payouts follow your Stripe account's schedule. - Refunds are made from the same Stripe account. - Free events do not need Stripe at all. --- # How do I refund a ticket? Category: Tickets and checkout Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/refunds Open the order and choose Refund. Owners and Admins can give full or partial refunds. A fully refunded ticket can no longer check in. 1. Open the event, then Orders. 2. Find the order and choose Refund. 3. Choose a full or partial refund and confirm. The refund is made through Stripe to the buyer's original payment method. A fully refunded ticket is cancelled, so it can no longer be scanned at the door. > With your AI: asking your AI to refund an order returns a confirmation link. The refund only happens when you confirm it. --- # Who pays the Konecto ticket fee? Category: Tickets and checkout Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/who-pays-the-fee You choose per event: pass the fee to the buyer at checkout, or absorb it yourself. Free tickets never carry a fee. In the event's ticket settings, choose Buyer pays fee or I pay the fee. The checkout shows the buyer the exact total before they pay. --- # Can I move from Eventbrite or another platform? Category: Tickets and checkout Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/move-from-eventbrite Yes. Recreate the event in Konecto (or ask your AI to), then import existing attendees from a CSV export. 1. Create the event in Konecto with the same ticket types. 2. Export attendees from your old platform as CSV. 3. In Konecto, open Attendees, then Import CSV, and map the columns. 4. Imported attendees receive a Konecto ticket email with a QR code, if you choose to send it. --- # How do I customise my event page? Category: Event pages Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/templates-and-branding Choose a template, then set your logo, hero image, colours, a font from the curated set, and which sections appear in what order. ## What you can change - Template (three to five layouts at launch) - Logo, hero image and gallery - Primary and background colours, theme, and a font from a curated set - Sections: hero, about, speakers, agenda, venue, sponsors, gallery, FAQ, tickets - Section order - Title, description and sharing image for search and social Konecto pages are rendered from these settings, so there is no HTML to edit. For a fully custom design, see custom sites (/help/custom-sites). --- # Can I put my event page on my own domain? Category: Event pages Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/custom-domain Yes, with the Pro site module. Add a CNAME record, Konecto issues SSL automatically, and konec.to/e/your-event then redirects to your domain. 1. Enable Pro site for the event. 2. Enter your domain, for example tickets.yourevent.com. 3. Add the DNS record Konecto shows you at your DNS provider. 4. Wait for the status to show Active. SSL is issued automatically. Once active, your Konecto address redirects to your domain so search engines see one page, not two. You can also buy a new domain from inside Konecto. It is connected to your page automatically. --- # Can I build my own website instead? Category: Event pages Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/custom-sites Yes. Build any site and use the Konecto Public API, SDK or ticket components. Checkout and attendee tickets stay on Konecto. Developers and agencies can build a fully custom site anywhere and use Konecto as the backend. See the developer docs (https://docs.konec.to). What stays on Konecto: - Checkout, so you never handle card data - Attendee tickets at me.konec.to - The attendee's contact card, connections and your organisation community --- # Will my event show up in Google? Category: Event pages Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/search-and-sharing Every Konecto event page includes complete Event structured data, clean titles and descriptions, and a sharing image, which helps search engines understand it. Konecto adds schema.org Event data to every page: name, organiser, venue, dates and time zone, images, status and ticket offers with price and availability. No setup needed. Tips: - Write a clear title and a description of one or two sentences. - Add a real hero image of your event or venue. - Keep past events online as an archive; Konecto marks them as ended. --- # How do I scan tickets at the door? Category: Check-in Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/scan-tickets Open the scanner link on any phone, allow the camera, and point it at the ticket QR. Green means checked in. 1. In the organiser app open the event, then Check-in, then Open scanner. Share the link with door staff. 2. Allow camera access. 3. Scan the QR on the attendee's phone or printout. Results: Checked in (green), Already checked in (amber, with the time) or Not valid (red, for refunded or wrong-event tickets). --- # Does check-in work without internet? Category: Check-in Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/offline-check-in Yes. Each phone keeps scanning from its downloaded guest list and syncs when it reconnects. Tickets scanned on two offline phones are flagged on sync. Open the scanner while you still have a connection so the guest list downloads. After that, scanning keeps working without internet. ## How duplicates are handled | Situation | What happens | | --- | --- | | Phones online | Every scan is checked with the server in real time. A ticket used on one phone is rejected on all the others. | | One phone offline | It rejects tickets it has already scanned, and checks the rest against its downloaded list. It syncs when it reconnects. | | Several phones offline | Each phone only knows its own scans, so the same ticket could be accepted on two phones. When they reconnect, Konecto flags the duplicate with both times and devices. | ## Tips for patchy venues - Keep at least one scanner online, for example on a mobile hotspot. - Give each door or lane its own scanner so a returning guest meets the same phone. - Check the Flagged list after the doors close. --- # What if someone lost their ticket? Category: Check-in Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/manual-check-in Search the attendee by name or email in the scanner and check them in manually. In the scanner choose Search, find the person, confirm their identity as you normally would, and select Check in. Admins can undo a check-in made by mistake. --- # How do I connect Claude? Category: Using your AI Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/connect-claude In Claude, add a custom connector with the Konecto MCP URL (mcp.konec.to), sign in to Konecto, and choose what Claude may do. 1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and add a custom connector. 2. Enter the Konecto MCP server URL: https://mcp.konec.to 3. Sign in to Konecto and choose the organisation and permissions. 4. Konecto suggests opted-in attendees and exhibitors with the same or related interests, or matching needs, and shows the reason for each. ## What counts | Signal | Example | | --- | --- | | Shared interest | You both listed Sustainable packaging | | Close match | You listed Logistics, they listed Supply chain | | Who you want to meet | You want to meet investors; they are an investor | | Complementary need | You are looking for distributors; they are a distributor looking for new brands | | Same session or zone | You both checked in to the Retail tech talk | Konecto ranks suggestions by how many of these match and how strong each match is, favours people who are at the event now, and shows a short list, never hundreds of names. ## Privacy - You only appear in suggestions if you turn on Suggest me to others for the event. - Suggestions show profile fields you made visible to attendees; contact details are shared only when you both accept a connection. - Hide anyone from your suggestions, or turn suggestions off completely, at any time. ## Get better suggestions Add three to eight interests, say who you would like to meet, and fill in "Looking for". The more specific, the better the matches. --- # Do my connections and chats last after the event? Category: For attendees Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/connections-and-chats Yes. Connections and one-to-one chats belong to you and the other person, not to the event, and stay until you delete them. Each connection records where you met. Event channels become read-only after the event, but your one-to-one chats continue. You can save any connection to your phone contacts, or export all of them as CSV. --- # What are communities? Category: For attendees Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/communities Each organiser has a community in the attendee app. Join one to see its upcoming events and the people you met there. After your first event with an organiser, Konecto asks whether you want to join their community. Members see the organiser's upcoming events, past-event directories and fellow members. You can leave a community at any time. --- # What does Konecto cost? Category: Billing and modules Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/what-does-konecto-cost Free events are free. Paid tickets carry one per-ticket fee. Modules are optional and priced per event. Organisation-wide plans are arranged with our team. | Item | Cost | | --- | --- | | Free and registration-only events | Free | | Paid tickets | One per-ticket fee, set below the major marketplaces, published at launch | | Card processing | Charged by Stripe at its standard rate | | Team members, roles and event access | Free, unlimited | | Modules | Per event, from £29 (see the pricing page) | | All modules for one event | £349 | | Organisation-wide overview across events | Contact us | --- # How do I add a module? Category: Billing and modules Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/enable-a-module Open the module in the event and choose Enable. Modules are bought per event. Or ask your AI, which sends you a link to confirm. Modules are bought for a single event. If you want one overview across all your organisation's events, contact us about an organisation-wide plan. Konecto collects the underlying data from the start, so a module shows your full history as soon as it is on. --- # How do I create a challenge? Category: Challenges Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/create-a-challenge Open the event, then Challenges, then New challenge. Pick the actions that count, set targets and a time window, choose the reward, and publish. ## Steps 1. Enable the Challenges module for the event. 2. Open Challenges and choose New challenge, or start from a template (Booth quest, Connector, Session explorer, Early bird). 3. Add one or more actions and a target for each (see challenge actions (/help/challenge-actions)). 4. Choose how actions combine: all of them, any of them, or points with a threshold. 5. Set the time window: the whole event, one day, or a few hours. 6. Choose the reward (see rewards (/help/challenge-rewards)). 7. Preview what attendees will see, then Publish. Attendees see live progress on their Konecto profile. You see completions and the leaderboard in real time. > With your AI: "Create a booth quest for Saturday: scan all 20 booths and connect with 30% of exhibitors to enter a prize draw for two VIP passes." --- # What actions can a challenge count? Category: Challenges Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/challenge-actions Booth scans, connections with exhibitors or attendees (by number or percentage), session check-ins, sponsor page visits, offer redemptions, surveys, check-in time and profile completion. | Action | Example target | | --- | --- | | Scan booths | All booths, 15 booths, or every booth in the "Startups" zone | | Connect with exhibitors | 30% of exhibitors, or 10 exhibitor staff | | Connect with attendees | 5 new connections | | Attend sessions | 3 talks, or the keynote plus one workshop | | Visit sponsor pages | Every gold sponsor | | Redeem offers | 2 exhibitor offers | | Answer a survey | The post-session survey | | Check in early | Before 09:30 | | Complete your profile | Photo, role and interests added | Percentages are calculated from the exhibitors or booths live at the time, so adding a late exhibitor does not break a challenge. --- # What rewards can I offer? Category: Challenges Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/challenge-rewards You choose: prize draw entries, instant rewards, points and levels, badges on the profile, leaderboard prizes, discount codes, VIP access or donations. - Prize draw: everyone who completes gets an entry; Konecto draws winners fairly and records the draw. - Instant reward: the first 100 to finish get a coffee, a tote bag or a drinks token, redeemed by QR at a desk. - Points and levels: actions earn points, levels unlock perks. - Badges: shown on the attendee's Konecto profile, at this and future events. - Leaderboard: top scorers win; show it on screens around the venue. - Discount codes: for next year's ticket or an exhibitor's product. - VIP access: lounge, front-row seats or a meet-the-speakers session. - Donations: every completion donates to a charity you choose. Rewards are fulfilled by you or your exhibitors; Konecto issues and tracks the codes and redemptions. --- # How do challenges stay fair? Category: Challenges Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/fair-play One scan per booth per person, optional staff-verified scans, cooldowns and daily caps, and an audit trail for every point. - A booth can only be counted once per attendee per challenge. - Staff-verified scans: only exhibitor staff can scan attendees, so nobody can scan a photo of a booth QR from home. - Cooldowns and caps stop rapid-fire scanning. - Every point has an audit trail you can review before drawing winners, and you can disqualify entries. --- # How do sponsor reports work? Category: Sponsors and exhibitors Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/sponsor-reports Konecto records sponsor page views, clicks, chats, booth scans and redeemed offers. The Sponsors and Analytics modules turn this into a report per sponsor. Aggregate numbers can always be shared with a sponsor. Names and contact details are shared only for attendees who agreed to share them with that sponsor. Comparisons between sponsors are visible to you only. --- # How does lead capture work for sponsors? Category: Sponsors and exhibitors Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/lead-capture Sponsor staff scan attendee Konecto cards from their phone, the attendee agrees to share their details, and the lead lands in the sponsor portal with notes. Lead capture is usually paid by the sponsor, per booth per event. Sponsors export consented leads as CSV for their CRM. --- # Who owns attendee data? Category: Privacy and data Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/who-owns-data The organiser owns event attendee data; Konecto is the processor. Your own Konecto card, connections and chats belong to you. Konecto never sells personal data and never uses attendee data for Konecto marketing. Data is hosted in the EU. A data processing agreement is available to organisers at hello@konec.to. --- # How do I export or delete my data? Category: Privacy and data Page: https://knowledge.konec.to/help/export-and-delete Attendees: go to Profile and privacy at me.konec.to. Organisers: go to Settings, Data. Event deletion purges its attendee data within 30 days. Attendees can download everything Konecto holds about them and delete their account at any time. Organisers can export event data as CSV and delete events; attendee data for a deleted event is purged within 30 days, while each person's own card, connections and chats remain theirs.
