# How does Konecto suggest people to meet?

From what you choose: your interests and who you would like to meet. Konecto suggests opted-in attendees and exhibitors with the same or related interests, or matching needs, and shows the reason for each.

## What counts

| Who you want to meet | You want to meet investors; they are an investor |
| Complementary need | You are looking for distributors; they are a distributor looking for new brands |
| Same session or zone | You both checked in to the Retail tech talk |

Konecto ranks suggestions by how many of these match and how strong each match is, favours people who are at the event now, and shows a short list, never hundreds of names.

## Privacy
- You only appear in suggestions if you turn on Suggest me to others for the event.
- Suggestions show profile fields you made visible to attendees; contact details are shared only when you both accept a connection.
- Hide anyone from your suggestions, or turn suggestions off completely, at any time.

## Get better suggestions
Add three to eight interests, say who you would like to meet, and fill in "Looking for". The more specific, the better the matches.
